Company Madrid 22/11/1975 Graduates with CUM LAUDE degree in the Professional Royal Conservatory of Dance in Madrid, Spain, where he studied under the direction of the most prestigious specialist in Classical Ballet, Escuela Bolera Spanish Ballet, Spanish Classic Ballet, Spanish Folklore and Contemporary dance. His professional career starts at the age of 15 years old, when he joins the “Rafael Aguilar Dance Company” in which he will end up obtaining Soloist Category, playing roles as “Lucas el Torero” in Carmen, and travelling around all Europe. He is invited in three occasions by Marienma to participate in her choreographies “Spain”, for one of the principal roles in the play “Homenaje a Madrid” as well as in the Opera “Goyescas”. He also participates in the “Ballet Antologia”, choreographed by Alberto Lorca, Teatro Lírico de la Zarzuela, choreographed by Goyo Montero and Carlos Vilán, and Compañía Antonio Marquez, choreographed by the great Master José Granero. Demanded by Jose Antonio RUIZ to join his company “Jose Antonio y los Ballets Españoles”, with which he will travel as Soloist Dancer all across Europe and Latin America, with the plays, “Embrujo”, “La Vida Breve “ “El sombrero de Tres Picos” , “ Aires de Villa y Corte” …and several more. Participates as choreographer and dancer three consecutive times in he IV, V and VII Certamen Coreográfico de Danza Española y Flamenco, hosted in the Albeniz Theatre of Madrid, with “Suspiro del Moro” which later will be used by the Jose Antonio Ballet “Movimientos Reversos” which will obtain the second place and “Nereidas” which will obtain the first place. Invited along with Diana SAN ANDRES, as choreographer and dancer to the VIII Día Internacional de la Danza, Albeniz Theatre, Madrid. Soloist dancer in “La Gitana” play for the Ballet “Arena Di Verona” directed by Carla Fracci, choreographed by Paul Chalmer and Jose Antonio Ruiz. In September 1997 he joins the Spanish National Ballet, directed at the time by Aurora Pons, Vitoria Eugenia y Nana Lorca. Under the direction of Aida Gomez, he promotes to Soloist dancer in June 1999, and in June 2000 he reaches the level of First Dancer, participating in ballets as “La Vida Breve”, “Ritmos”, “Poeta”, “Bolero”, and finally “Carmen” where he plays Don Jose, in a role specially choreographed for him by the legend Jose Antonio Ruiz. Special Guest of Aida Gomez, playing the role of “San Juan Bautista” in the ballet “Salome” choreographed by Jose Antonio Ruiz and directed by Carlos Saura. In May 2002, funds along with Pascal Gaona, the company Talent Danza, the one he still directs under the name on Compañía ANTONIO NAJARRO today. On December 20th and 21st he debuts with his first production “Tango Flamenco” choreographed by himself in the Bayonne Theatre , France as a part of the festival “Scene Nationale et du Sud Aquitaine”. Since then the show “Tango Flamenco” has been performed in Spain, France, Switzerland, Jordan, Greece, Canada, USA… and a long etc. qualifying Najarro as one of the best choreographers of the moment. On February 2006, his second production “Flamencoriental” makes its debut, in the Francisco Rabal Theatre of Pinto (Madrid). In September 2006, he is selected to join the show “Champions On Ice” along with the best skaters of the world, as choreographer and dancer, along with which he will tour in Japan, China and Russia. In February 2007, he continues to perform along with Champions on Ice as well as he appears in the tour Art on Ice in Switzerland. In November 2008, its new production: “JAZZING FLAMENCO” makes its debut in Madrid (Spain). Today along with his tours around the world with “Tango Flamenco”, “Flamencoriental” and “Jazzing Flamenco”, he also choreographs for Olympic and World champions in figure skating, and is invited as choreographer and master teacher for endless schools and Dance Companies. Jazzing Flamenco is ready to tour all around the world like Antronio Najarro Dance Company - Compania Antonio Najarro (C.A.N)'s previous shows Tango Flamenco and Flamenco Oriental with more than 50 shows of Tango Flamenco in North America with 14 sold out in Montreal Jazz Festival with Tango Flamenco and 10 sold out shows with Jazzing Flamenco. C.A.N 1st production, Tango Flamenco show is a striking marriage of flamenco, classical Spanish dance and tango, a dance form of astonishing precision which somehow manages to create a sensation of liberation, a new sense of space, of music and dance combined in a passion of striking intensity. C.A.N's 2nd show is called Flamenco Oriental where Antonio Najarro has bet on a new fusion, among the Flamenco, the Spanish Dance and the extensive language of dance and music of the different oriental cultures, inspiring him in the original music created especially for this spectacle. In the 3rd and latest production of C.A.N, with the big success of Tango Flamenco and Flamenco Oriental Antonio Najarro is motivated to modernize Spanish classical dance by fusing different styles of music - Jazz, Blues, Soul and Flamenco and dance, creating a unique style. Mixing Jazz, Blues, Soul and Flamenco creates an original sound and inspires the passionate and innovative choreography. Each costume and scene is made to compliment the visual and musical experience. The costumes are fashioned to enhance the movement, the glamour and help capture the essence of the show.
